Shhokher Baajar, which loosely translates to ‘Bazaar of Delights’, is the brainchild of Deblina Ghosh - a devoted lover of art and lifelong collectors of culture. Born out of her desire to celebrate nostalgia, curiosity, and the joy of discovery, this platform brings together kindred spirits who find beauty in the rare, the old, and the lovingly preserved.
When we look back at the last two centuries, we find that collecting as a hobby was once the privilege of Maharajas, princes, and affluent zamindars. But the passion for collecting has always had a wider, more democratic appeal. From old stamps and coins to matchboxes, dolls, pens, and books, this fascinating pursuit has found its way into the hearts of many.
